Martin Eddie Butler graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) in 2015 and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2016.
Martin’s practice straddles both dispute resolution and corporate practice. Martin has assisted in contentious matters representing individuals and corporations in various disputes before the Supreme Court and the State Courts. These matters include claims against banks, contractual disputes, and breaches of director duties, ‘white collar’ crime and contested matrimonial work. In his corporate practice, Martin has been involved in corporate financing transactions, angel investments, mergers and acquisitions and capital markets work. Martin has also assisted in probate matters in the Family Justice Courts.
When away from the office, Martin takes a keen interest in playing and watching sports. He was the captain of the National University of Singapore’s varsity rugby team, and has represented Singapore on the Asian Rugby 7’s circuit.
